Soldier Lune $60K Stretch Goal Unlocked

Happy Monday! First, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to new backers who have joined us recently for the final 48-hour push. You have ensured the campaign has broken through the 1,000 backer line and unlocked the $60K stretch goal in the process! Backers pledging for a physical copy of Soldier Lune will now receive two character-focussed 2”x6” bookmarks to save your place while you read.

So what do we have planned next?

$75K Stretch Goal: Extra Custom Dice Set

We know that funding may not rise high enough to unlock the next stretch goal in the time remaining, but we wanted to give you a teaser of what’s possible in the coming hours. Setting goals is a worthwhile process unto itself!

If funding reaches $75K, we will include a second set of four custom dice in an alternate colour in the Soldier Lune RPG box – bringing the total number to eight dice. We haven’t selected the icon symbol or colour yet, so we are certainly open to suggestions! Tell us what you’d like to see in the comments section and we’ll add it to the list for consideration should the campaign reach $75K by 10 pm EST tomorrow.

Upgrading Your Pledge

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your campaign pledge – perhaps to the $100+ Soldier Everything tier (with FOUR games included!) or to add-on some additional products – now is the perfect time! Once you log into your Kickstarter account, click the green “Manage Your Pledge” button at the top. After you click the blue “Change Your Pledge” button, you can select an alternate pledge tier or add-ons. It’s that easy!

$50K Stretch Goal Unlocked For Soldier Lune RPG!

Happy Tuesday, backers! With still a full week remaining in the campaign, you have helped push funding through the $50K stretch goal! This means we will now upgrade the Soldier Lune Game Screen, scenarios, and character sheets to a thicker, more durable paper/card stock. Thank you for helping improve the game for everyone!

$60K Stretch Goal: Soldier Lune Bookmarks

For the next stretch goal, we’re going to include something that isn’t necessary to play the game, but something that’s a little treat. If funding reaches $60K, we are pleased to offer a special gift to every backer who pledges for a physical copy of Soldier Lune: 2” x 6” Soldier Lune printed bookmark to keep your place in your favourite RPG, novel, or textbook. Gorgeous Soldiers Template Preview

Happy November, everyone! We are thrilled that nearly 640 of you have backed the Soldier Lune campaign, which has pushed funding over $41K – solid progress towards the component quality upgrade that unlocks as the $50K stretch goal.

Gorgeous Soldiers Template

Game characters are constructed from Points in the Soldier Lune RPG. Although the power levels, and the expression of those powers, vary widely between the heroines of the fictional Soldier Lune series, all the Gorgeous Soldiers have a base set of templated abilities worth 50 Points (as shown above).

• Stats are numerical assignments that reflect your character’s basic capabilities. Higher Stat values indicate an advanced level of accomplishment. Stats provide the foundation upon which everything else about a character is built. Each character is created with three Stats (Body, Mind, and Soul) which typically range in value from 1 to 12.
• Attributes are specialised aspects of your character that represent innate talents, learned abilities, supernatural powers, amazing devices, helpful allies, and more.
• Defects are disadvantages or drawbacks through which your character suffers to overcome the hardships of day-to-day life. They can be considered “negative Attributes” that return Points.

The Gorgeous Soldiers provided in the 40-page character book start from the template’s foundation and build up from there. This means that the Attributes for the characters will never be lower than those presented in the template, but they can be higher when appropriate.

Favourite Soldier Lune Character Art Plus Stretch Goal Question

Happy Friday, backers! Over 500 of you pledged within the first three days of the Soldier Lune RPG campaign, which makes it our second-fastest growing campaign launch (behind only the Anime 5E RPG)! You have pushed funding more than a third of the way towards the next stretch goal – upgraded component quality that unlocks at $50K – and we are grateful for your support.

As we enter the first weekend of the campaign, we have two questions for you:

Q1: Favourite Character Art

From all the art we have presented in on the campaign page so far (cover image, villains profile in the video, Gorgeous Soldiers background PDF from Update 1), which character design is your favourite?

Mark, Soldier Lune’s designer, has two. For the heroines, it’s Soldier Sky – a non-binary teenaged motorcycle driver who is the Gorgeous Soldier of wind and the sky. For the villains, it’s Thallium – the most-powerful Elemental Knight who serves in Empress Iridium’s Shadow Court. 

Q2: Stretch Goal Ideas

If funding on this campaign reaches the next threshold at $50K, what sort of new stretch goal would you like to see?

Although we can’t create a plethora of new content for the complete game and still meet our publishing deadline, we still could offer one or more stretch goals as thanks for your support. Do you want to receive more bonus physical upgrades that go beyond expectations? Additional digital scenarios to accompany the six that are included in the game? An extra set of custom Soldier Lune dice (perhaps in a different colour)? What sorts of other awards will inspire you and others to grow the campaign even higher?

Although we surely can’t use every idea presented, your suggestions can help guide us in the future if funding surpasses the next goal.
