Happy Friday, backers. We have some great news to share!

The Soldier Lune RPG has landed in the USA! It will still take a bit of time for the product to clear customs and ship to our warehouse before fulfilment can begin, but we expect to have things rolling sometime in July for US addresses if everything proceeds as planned.

International addresses will take a while longer since we need to subship to our EU and Canadian fulfilment centre.

This is your final chance to update your shipping address if it has changed since you completed the BackerKit survey.

Please email all shipping updates directly to [email protected], rather than messaging us through Kickstarter. If you haven’t moved in the past six months and have already completed the survey, then you’re good to go and have nothing more to do.

As a follow-up to Update 15: the Soldier Lune RPG is on a boat, heading to our US warehouse. We don’t have an ETA yet, but we expect fulfilment to begin in August.

Soldier Lune RPG Fulfilment and Tariff Update

Happy Friday, everyone!

In our last update, we didn’t have a reasonable estimation for the shipping window for your Soldier Lune RPG rewards. We still don’t have a firm date yet either, but we are booking passage for the freight that is expected to ship soonish. We’ve already been bumped once, though, so dates are tentative until the boxed sets are on the water and on their way to our US warehouse.

We looked at the feasibility of splitting shipping to our EU warehouse, but based on the freight volume and costs, it makes more sense to ship everything to our Tennessee warehouse and then redirect a portion to our Germany fulfilment centre for international shipping. Provided our freight isn’t delayed much longer, we expect Soldier Lune to arrive in our warehouse sometime in late July with fulfilment in August.

Thank you to everyone for your continued patience. These tariff issues are impacting the entire gaming industry (and many, many other industries), and we are managing these issues the best we can.

Soldier Lune Tariff Update

And speaking of tariffs, you may have read recently about several game companies charging an additional tariff fee on their funded Kickstarter pledges. Dyskami has decided to not impose any additional tax on your rewards, since your support has helped make Soldier Lune a reality. Unfortunately, tariff taxes and increased shipping fees (due to everyone trying to book freight from China now that tariffs are “only” 30%) will cost us many thousands of dollars that we’ll need to absorb. You can help us by letting your friends know they can still pre-order the Soldier Lune game from our BackerKit store.

New on Kickstarter: Heart Attack RPG

Heart Attack explores a near-future post-pandemic world where gene therapy has saved Americans from disease, only to give birth to Variants: people with powers so unique the government denies their human rights. Variants take a stance against an oppressive authoritarian regime, fighting for their freedom against seemingly impossible odds.

The Heart Attack RPG is a dual-system release, featuring both the influential Powered by the Apocalypse game mechanics framework (Avatar Legends, Masks, Thirsty Sword Lesbians) as well as Dyskami’s popular and modular superpowered Tri-Stat game engine (Soldier Lune, BESM, Absolute Power).

Soldier Lune RPG Fulfilment

Happy Thursday, backers!

In our last campaign update, we mentioned that production on Soldier Lune Role-Playing Adventures is wrapping up in April – and we are on schedule. That’s the good news.

We’re sure it’s easy to guess the bad news: tariffs.

The ever-changing tariff targets and escalating trade war between the US and China (where we printed Soldier Lune) has made it infeasible to ship the finished games to our US warehouse promptly. While the tariff situation can change at any time for seemingly any reason – and we will obviously ship Soldier Lune from the factory sometime – we need some stability before we can finalise our ocean freight. Trying to ship under the threat of a 145% tariff (or possibly even higher!) that could cost tens of thousands of dollars more than originally planned is an unnecessary fee that we cannot absorb.

So this shipping update is to let backers know transparently that we don’t have a predictable window for US and Canadian fulfilment at this time.

We are exploring our options for shipping international orders to our EU warehouse for fulfilment from there, rather than processing those games with the rest of our production run. If we can feasibly ship a portion of Solider Lune to the EU in the next couple of weeks, we will do that instead.

We’re sorry we don’t have a more positive update to share with you. The entire gaming industry is in shock right now about the future of business, and we are monitoring the situation daily.

Soldier Lune RPG Prepress Unboxing

Hey, backers! It’s been a while.

There hasn’t been updates to share about the Soldier Lune RPG Kickstarter until now. We received the prepress proofs of the boxed set and it’s gorgeous! We did a short unboxing video sneak peek so you can see everything that’s included.

Some production delays at the factory have pushed back the physical rewards delivery slightly. We are working with a new (to us) printer for this project and want to ensure the product quality meets and exceeds your expectations. Printing and packaging should wrap up in April, which means rewards delivery will begin in late May or (more likely) in June.
